Womens Mental Health Intensive & Wellness Retreat

We are pleased to invite you to our upcoming Women’s Mental Health Intensive & Wellness Retreat for ages 19+ taking place June 12–14, 2026 at the serene Sorento Retreat & Conference Centre in Sorrento, BC. 


This three-day retreat is designed to provide focused mental health support in a restorative setting. Programming includes evidence-informed workshops, ADHD support and coaching, perinatal to menopause mental health care, and facilitated group sessions. Participants will also experience somatic movement and guided meditation practices to support nervous system regulation and overall well-being.
This retreat is ideal for women seeking structured therapeutic support alongside community connection. Eligible participants may be able to submit receipts for reimbursement through extended health benefits.

Meet Lisa Marie!
 

Womens Weekend 2026 Event Host - Lisa Marie Young is a Certified Yoga Teacher and a trauma-informed Registered Clinical Counsellor (#21260) with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and over 25 years of experience in human services.

 

Specializing in women’s mental health, Lisa Marie supports adults and couples through challenges ranging from prenatal care to perimenopause. Her approach is person-centered and culturally respectful, incorporating personal and professional experience with anxiety, grief, and ADHD to help clients identify their strengths and foster a sense of purpose.

 

During this retreat, Lisa Marie will facilitate deep relaxation and safety through somatic movement, EMDR techniques, and mindful meditations. She will also lead a group discussion on women’s hormone health, its impact on ADHD, and various life stages.

Meet Theresa!

MSW, RSW, ADHD Coach

Theresa Seefried is a Registered Social Worker, Clinical Counsellor, and ADHD Coach at Together We Thrive Coaching & Counselling/Co-host of our upcoming Women's Weekend Event 2026!

 

Theresa works with individuals of all ages and genders, offering individual counselling, ADHD coaching, and couples and family therapy. While she specializes in ADHD, she also supports clients dealing with perfectionism, stress, anxiety, depression, and existential or faith-based concerns.

 

As someone diagnosed with ADHD in 2022, Theresa has a deep understanding of the unique struggles and strengths associated with the condition. She is dedicated to helping adults overcome overwhelm and achieve fulfillment. During the upcoming women’s retreat, she will discuss how ADHD presents in women and girls, providing strategies for emotional regulation, managing negative thoughts, and building motivation.

 

Her counselling/coaching combination incorporates transformative mindset techniques and professional frameworks, including Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Her approach is also influenced by the work of Tony Robbins, Mel Robbins, Brooke Castillo, and Tracy Otsuka.

Meet Nat!

Local Artist & Illustrator

Nat Green a BC artist raised in Kelowna and now residing in Salmon Arm.

Nat is a co-host of our Women's Weekend Event 2026!

While she works across various mediums—including collage, paint, pottery, and sculpture—

she primarily considers herself an illustrator.

 

Nat has a lifelong passion for creation, finding intricate beauty and whimsy in everyday objects.

Her work is a direct expression of her innermost thoughts and childhood dreams.

She often uses art as a form of personal therapy to navigate challenges and aims to help others

through relatable imagery and words.

 

Dedicated to bringing universal issues and mental health into the light,

her evolving portfolio serves as an enduring record of her life’s journey.

 

During our upcoming women’s retreat,

Nat will guide and support us as we create our own expressive art pieces.

Meet Susie!

Holistic Practitioner & Certified Aromatherapist

Susie Sayers is a holistic practitioner and certified aromatherapist trained in Reiki, tuning forks, and sound bowls. Susie is a dedicated advocate for women’s mental wellness, focusing on creating spaces for growth, self-acceptance, and empowerment. She has extensive experience facilitating workshops designed to help women identify their strengths, overcome barriers, and amplify their voices.

 

Through her practice, Susie harmonizes mind, body, and spirit using the power of sound, energy, and aromatherapy. She is passionate about the magic that unfolds during intentional gatherings and is grateful for the opportunity to guide others toward inner balance and clarity.

 

During our upcoming retreat, Susie will lead us through an immersive experience with sound bowls, using specialized frequencies to align and restore balance in the body and mind. She will also share her expertise on the healing and calming powers of aromatherapy.

Meet Jill!

Physiotherapist & Pelvic Floor Specialist

Jill Nahm is a physiotherapist in Salmon Arm with 15 years of experience in both the private and public sectors. Jill has treated numerous conditions related to bones, muscles, joints, and nerves, and she specializes in services tailored to pregnancy, postpartum, and pelvic health.

 

Jill’s dedication to providing comprehensive care stems from both her professional expertise and her personal experience as a mother. Her holistic approach considers the complexities of your life—from your environment and emotions to your nervous system—to foster real, lasting improvements.

 

At our upcoming women’s retreat, Jill will facilitate a group exercise class designed to help us move, heal, and grow through a biopsychosocial approach that respects the unique intricacies of each individual’s journey.

FREE Zumba Class
with Mary-Rose!

Mary-Rose Mack will be leading us in a fun, energetic Zumba class on Saturday morning

of our upcoming retreat. *Free class to registered participants.

Mary-Rose has been a certified Zumba

instructor since 2019 and currently teaches classes in Salmon Arm. We are very excited to have her join us and look forward to the energy she will bring to the group.
